Tabuchi America exhibited at CES 2018 January 15, 2018
Tabuchi Electric Co., Ltd. is pleased to announce that its subsidiary company, Tabuchi Electric Company of America, Ltd. (Tabuchi America) participated at CES 2018 in Las Vegas, NV, from January 9 to 12 (local time). We, as a project sponsor, exhibited "EIBS (Eco Intelligent Battery System)," the Solar + Storage energy solution system in a small-footprint residence, Flex House which was presented by Green Builder Media.
The solar panels rated at 2.0kW and EIBS were installed in the Flex House and the actual residential environment was built. We demonstrated the operation of EIBS with off-grid mode, which does not connect to the grid, charges the storage battery via the solar inverter and uses the stored electricity in the Flex House.
The Flex House was located in the car parking area of the site, along the street connecting the main entrance and the exhibition halls, so we had many visitors to our booth from the first day. We received favorable feedback from our visitors such as "It is very easy to imagine how the generated and stored electricity is used in a house with Tabuchi's solar + storage system" and "It makes me recognize the value of the solar inverter system with storage battery" due to the accidental blackout occurred in the exhibition halls on the second day of CES 2018.

Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is a trade show organized by the Consumer Technology Association and held annually in January in Las Vegas, Nevada. The exhibitors give presentations of new products and advanced technologies in the consumer electronics industry. The visitors count 177,000 in 2016 and 175,000 in 2017.

＜Outline of EIBS＞
EIBS is a system integrating a hybrid solar inverter with storage battery for residential use. Generally, a solar power generation system and a storage system require one solar inverter respectively, but our multi-string technology enabled us to develop the solar inverter which controls both of the photovoltaic power generation and the storage system in one system. We connected a solar inverter and a storage battery with direct current which allows to charge storage batteries without converting direct current to alternating current. This makes less conversion loss and effective utilization of generated electricity.
