| Top Page > Introduction to Tabuchi Technology |
Tabuchi company was founded in 1925 with the business domain
of silicon steel lamination sheet fabrication.
A lot of manufacturing know-how and method were developed and
accumulated during the process where Tabuchi responded the customer
requirement of various application of lamination core of silicon
steel. The approach was done under the philosophy of "Customer
First "
In 1940; Tabuchi transformed itself from a silicon steel lamination
maker to transformer manufacturer utilizing lamination steel as
the core of transformer. In the late 1950s, volume production
of electronics equipment was initiated. During this volume production
period, Tabuchi developed many proprietary core technologies as
the leading transformer manufacturer; perfect layer-winding technology
of round wire. Tabuchi has consistently maintained know how and
advanced its art in transformer and coil technology.
|
 |
Tabuchi amassed the skill, technology and expertise
that expanded from its roots in laminated silicon steel and coil winding
to include ferrite core technology, and various reactor technologies.
In 1970, Tabuchi expanded our business to Power Supplies utilizing
the mainstay of existing business and now Tabuchi has established
this SMPS segment as the second core business domain. Tabuchi has
been providing analog power solutions that supply many power combinations
from a single unit.
Furthermore, Tabuchi entered the business segment of Photovoltaic
Inverter where the analog power solution meets the digital control;
this segment is classified as the third core business domain.
Since its inception, Tabuchi has consistently expanded its core technology
adding the advanced technology to enhance its products and serve its
customer base. In short, we are materializing the corporate philosophy
“Contributing to the society through the quality manufacturing
" in the three core business domains that convert and regulate
the electricity.
Tabuchi Technology is based on:
Organic integration of matured core know-how and advanced technologyGreen
technology that enables the earth amiable to human. Tabuchi’s
energy to meet the demands and requests of its customer base has sustained
and consistently expanded its know how and expertise; the respect
and honor we have received has hardened our resolve to maintain the
core principles that have served us well. |
 |
Tabuchi will
|
| 1) |
Keep and sustain its core technology firmly. |
| 2) |
Update the core technology everyday in all ways. |
| 3) |
Integrate the core technology updated and the advanced technology
newly created. |
| 4) |
Invoke a Renaissance /Daily Innovation of Product Design from the
endeavor of above. |
| 5) |
To facilitate this design innovation, highly sophisticated CAD and
CAE Simulation are used and the product elaboration is accelerated. |
Tabuchi will
1) React to the changing market needs rapidly and effectively, to
reduce time to market and adapt to the changing environments. Tabuchi
will operate parallel/concurrent engineering system.
2) Assure that Tabuchi Design is backed by the updated core technology
and highly sophisticated simulation and is best suited for volume
production from the viewpoint of quality and manufacturability. |
 |
| CAE simulation on concurrent engineering is used in various areas
such as thermal flow analysis. For example, cooling analysis, such
as the picture illustrated above where environmental conditions of
the design can be realized. |
Tabuchi utilizes wide range of material and device information
and sometimes, Tabuchi does technological joint development with
material manufacturing companies. Its strategic alliance includes
core material, conductors, heat-sink material etc., and spans over
the wide range of segments; Tabuchi provides the best power solution
to any customers.
Examples of Tabuchi Technology: |
| High Efficiency PV Inverter Technology |
| Tabuchi's inverter technology for
photovoltaic, Fuel Cell or Hybrid/electric vehicle (HEV) application
is the combination of optimum integration of Tabuchi's expertise such
as: highly efficient magnetics, soft switching, vertical packaging,
embedded DSP software and PV simulation. To optimize the efficiency,
cost, EMI, reliability, thermal consideration, DC/DC converter topology
is unique double resonant circuit and the circuit/CFD simulation is
carried out to suppress the power loss of the systems. The system
achieves the highest level of PV efficiency in the world and Tabuchi
contributes the world in the reduction of carbon dioxides for the
environment. These technologies are attained through the accumulation
of energy technology such as SMPS, Magnetics , materials, and many
libraries of the Tabuchi's know-how. With these advantages, the PV
inverters are ranked #1 in the market share in the world. |
 |
| High Efficient SMPS for Flat Panel Display |
| In the FPD power supply for High Vision
LCD Television, the consumption of electricity shall be minimized
both at the stage in normal operation and in the stand-by mode. To
countermeasure this requirement, Tabuchi developed special magnetics
to be used in composite resonant circuit topologies. Consequently,
the system has been made to yield low cost and high efficiency and
now the system is reputed by many FPD manufactures in Japan. |
 |
| High Voltage Transformers and Reactors |
| Microwave oven technology, Tabuchi
is one of the leading manufacturers of high voltage inverter transformers,
and is recognized as the leader in this application. We developed
a new high temperature microwave oven transformer (pat. p.) under
joint development with a material company that incorporates a high
temperature insulation system; this transformer is being volume produced
in Thailand. |
